FAQ

Do I have to be in the major to join?

No, you do not. AMA is open to working with and collaborating with people of different majors because we all have our own strengths to contribute to the club. Additionally, the workshops and companies who visit AMA can benefit all majors.

What does AMA Membership dues include?

It includes the latest membership shirt, a national membership ID number (which will be mailed to the address in your application), exclusive official member content, and more. To find out more information, visit our Membership page.

Where do I go to register my National AMA ID number once I get it?

You go to www.ama.org and create an online account. When asked about your National AMA ID number, input the eight digit Member ID number on your card.

How do we know what will be happening at the meeting?

Please visit our club calendar page to see who is scheduled to present at our upcoming meetings and/or what workshops we have in store. Additionally, subscribe to our mailing list to receive email reminders of all upcoming meetings and club news!

Can I join multiple committees?

Yes, you may. As long as you have the time for them, you can be part of as many committees as you like.

How do I create an account?

On the top right corner of the website is a plus sign. Click on the plus sign and then my account where it will direct you to the login page. You can create a login using Facebook and/or Google+.

How long with it take for me to be verified after I register for the site?

It will take up to 24 hours for you to be verified because we must process your paperwork and payment before giving you approval for exclusive official member content.

Can I apply to be on board as a first year?

Yes, you can. When deciding on candidates to interview for the next executive board, we take into consideration experience as well as involvement in the club.
